About Us

Managing Director, Gareth Thomson, obtained an honours degree in Computing and Mathematics from University of Abertay Dundee in 1996.   This was followed up the following year with a Postgraduate Diploma in Software Engineering from the same University.   His first job in IT came in early 1998 as a Test Engineer, before quickly progressing onto Systems Administrator and eventually IT Manager for a software company in Edinburgh.   He remained there for over 9 years before moving back to Dundee where he had a short spell as Support Manager for a call centre.

Following this, he spent over 6 years working in Senior Support roles with 2 different organisations supporting various clients IT needs throughout the Tayside and Fife areas.

With all this experience behind him, he made the decision to step out on his own and open G.R.T. IT Ltd.
